Intention and Abstraction;
An Ever-Changing Mirror.

The Approach
My work is rooted in a painterly approach to illustration, drawing from the subjective traditions of 20th‑century artists who emphasized atmosphere, perception, and narrative restraint. Through painting  I explore moments shaped by light, memory, and quiet structure—favoring suggestion over description and mood over literal detail.

Great Art is a Mirror
Good artwork tells stories. GREAT artwork pulls the viewer in to create their own. I believe that lasting artwork, the kind that is worth returning to over time, gains its meaning primarily from the viewer and what they bring to the viewing. 40% artist + 60% viewer feels about right.

Framed Paradigms
Working with traditional materials in the studio, I approach each piece intending an openness of interpretation, rendering my thoughts and lived experiences within a multilayered lense of recognizable abstraction. Influenced by illustrators and painters who blurred the boundary between fine art and editorial image‑making, my work seeks continuity with that lineage while remaining attentive to contemporary experience.

Temporal Perception
Across landscapes, figures, and architectural studies, the work reflects an ongoing interest in how familiar places and moments unfold through observation, offering images that reward prolonged viewing and personal projection, over multiple viewings. As the viewer changes and grows, so too should their experience while consuming artwork.
